ウェブサイト「三度目の京都」から生まれた、ごく私的な視点を大切にした京都の旅行記。説明的な文章を排し、写真家・中島光行さんの印象的な写真を大胆に用いた、新しい試みのフォトブックです。ISSUE 01では詩仙堂を取り上げています。ページをめくると、寺院の清々しい空気感が立ち上がり、ディテールに心を砕く中島さんの優しい視線が感じられるようです。
今回TRUNKでは、引き込まれるような美しい写真と、プロジェクトメンバーの方々が作り上げた、ゆったりとした世界観を、外国の方に少しでも伝えられるようにと、英訳を添えるお手伝いをさせていただきました。クレジットにも名前を載せていただき・・・普段自分の名前が表に出ることはないので、感慨もひとしおです。また、かつて住んでいた大好きな街、京都のワンシーンを伝えるお仕事に関われたこと、心から嬉しく思います。プロジェクトメンバーの皆様、ありがとうございました。

A PRIVATE KYOTO TRAVELOGUE has just been published! This special photo book features Shisen-do, a tranquil and beautiful temple in Kyoto city, through the lens of the Kyoto-based photographer, Mitsuyuki Nakajima.
As a translator, I had the pleasure of working with various talented contributors in creating this travelogue. I deeply thank all the creative project members, and especially Discovery-go inc., for giving me this wonderful opportunity to translate, allowing A PRIVATE KYOTO TRAVELOGUE, with its stunning photography and beautiful atmosphere, to be shared with the entire world.
I hope that as many foreign readers as possible can enjoy this travelogue and discover the hidden charms of Kyoto!
